Dear Brantley,

Thank you. I need not impress with my skills, they are to serve the Emperor, to defend China. Yes, skill with a sword is very useful. It takes much patience and training to use one. I worked for long hours to learn how to use it. I often have to teach new soldiers to wield such a deadly weapon.

Thank you. I became strong through much hard work and training. Run, and practice aim, and remember that your honor is most important. Train with your friends. It can be fun, but tough. It pays off though.

Oh it was very lonely for a while. And the others look up to me, because I’ve been around the longest you know. But I still see every one of them as equals.

Of course! I miss the old cottage some days, so I sometimes go and surprise the dwarves with pies after a long day of work! Of course they come for big parties in the castle! We have dancing and food and lots of music!

Well, yeah I miss my old hair. I loved how useful it was in so many ways! But when it was cut, I realize my hair held me back in a lot of ways. I’m happy with my hair now though! Besides, I think Eugene likes it too!

Well yer mum probably won’t change her mind so easily, trust me, I know. But if ye want her to understand how ya feel, you need tae tell her that what she wants just isn’t yer dream. It’s tough when parents don’t agree with ye on things, but I do not reccomend goin tae a witch in the woods. Talk to her, tell her how ye feel and try to compromise! Mums want what’s best for us, but sometimes ye both need to come together about yer freedom- she can’t decide it for ye, but if ye tell her what yer dreams are maybe she can help.

Why thank ye! I like it a lot too, though my mum still wants to tame it. I say somethin wild and true can never be tamed, but she sees it a wee bit differently! And if yer hair is all braided and  fancy, how can it flow free when you’re ridin’ through the forest?
